Greetings Friend,

Wow – Thanksgiving is just four weeks away and Christmas is eight. Time does seem to go by quickly. More so when you get older, I think.

As our lumber supply business grows and the product and services that we provide continue to expand, it seems that we just need more hours in the week to service our customers. Being a family-first type of person myself, we have been closed for the Thanksgiving weekend for as long as I can remember. Everyone gets a much-needed 4-day break to spend with loved ones.

I admire and thank my staff that manages the lumber and service sector of our business here at Parkerville. I’ll tell you why. Fairly recently we expanded our store hours, staying open till 7 on Thursday evenings and till 2 on Saturday afternoons. That has worked out well for us and our customers. Last week some staff approached me and recommended that we open for BLACK FRIDAY for the first time ever. We’re not going to open early and don’t expect a crushing crowd, but we are going to be open and plan to offer some specials that are noted here in this newsletter.

As our state continues to manage the current pandemic and most of the mask mandates have been lifted, I’d like to thank all my staff and our customers for complying with our safety measures and keeping people healthy. We have been fortunate to not encounter any resistance and are proud to say our staff is 100% vaccinated.

As always, thank you so much for supporting Parkerville and the talented people that work here. We strive to make your projects better by supplying premium materials and expert service and advice. Remember, the year-end holidays are eight weeks away. Most of your gifts are sitting out in the ocean off the west coast (some of our wood is out there also). Eight weeks is just enough time to build something nice or pick up a gift certificate that may be on our BLACK FRIDAY special list.
