Bubinga, Pomelle

This beautiful species has a heartwood that ranges from a pinkish red to a darker reddish brown with darker purple or black streaks. Sapwood is a pale straw color and is clearly demarcated from the heartwood. This curated selection featured a pomelle grain pattern.
Madrone

Its heartwood’s color tends to be a cream or pinkish brown color, but can also have dark red patches. Madrone is known for its burl veneer, which has many closely-packed clusters of knots and swirled grain. Grain tends to be straight, with a very fine and even texture.
Wacky Wood

This is an industrial panel specifically made for bending. Panels can be laminated or veneered once secured into place. To achieve proper bending properties, panels should be flexed back and forth before use. It is available in both a “barrel” or “column” orientation.
Poplar, Bending

Bending Poplar Plywood is a flexible 1/8″ material that can be formed into curves and radii providing a smooth face surface. It is available in both a horizontal and vertical orientation. It is produced under strict tolerances and high standards with superior quality Italian Poplar veneer.
Homasote

Homasote 440 SoundBarrier is a special-density, structural board made from 100 percent environmental Homasote cellulose fiber, a homogeneous composition manufactured with uniformly distributed protection against termites, rot and fungi and resistance to moisture. It also insulates, with twice the R-value of wood. Made with FSC certified material.
Hickory

Also known as Pignut Hickory, Mockernut Hickory, Shellbark Hickory, and Shagbark Hickory, this plywood features pale yellow sapwood with light brown to reddish brown to gray-brown heartwood. Some moderately coarse early wood, but otherwise hard and smooth. Some may contain color variation, color streaks, and rustic marks like worm track and bird peck.
